| | Welcome to ELSIE'S ANTIQUES AND RESALE | | About Our Store What is Elsie's Antiques Elsie's Antiques is a professionally run full time retail store open 6 days a weeek at 675 W. St. Charles Road in Elmhurst IL., as well as an on-line store. Elsie's Antiques formally opened their doors to the public on November 15, 2003, although we have been selling on line and through local sources for many years. Although books and videos are some of our main themes, we deal in a broad range of collectibles, from truck and tractor brochures to Hummels and vintage toys. Being in the estate liquidation and antiques business for many years has given our family an enormous source of fine goods at reasonable prices, so we pass these savings on to you, our customer. Who is Elsie's Antiques The main founders are Jennifer and her mother Sue. Following up are other family members, husband Ron & father Ken, and sister Debbie who helps watch Jennifers 2 and 3 year old children while mom is working. Jennifer, an Illinois licensed auctioneer, also runs a live auction every Wednesday evening with 400 to 500 lots of assorted items from new and general merchandise to fine antiques and jewelry, as well as keeping a broad selection of goods in her retal store in Elmhurst IL. Why use Elsie's Antiques We have been in business serving the public for over 30 years and know the importance of customer service. Our feedback on Ebay, Half.com & Amazon under Elsie's Antiques speaks for itself. We try to satisfy you, the customer, no matter what it takes. Why the Name Elsie's? The store was named in memory of Ronald Selcke Sr., who passed on in 2002 and is remembered by many as the world's largest collector of Borden items. With his vast collection of Borden's memorabilia, especially Elsie the Cow items, Ron had traveled the USA to shows and met many 1000's of other enthusiastic collectors. We have several displays in the entrance of some harder to find Elsie items, including a 6 foot Elsie store manequin from the 30's that welcomes visitors to our store. |
